Because males have been sexual selecting females for the last 500 000 years. Haven't you noticed human females are the ONLY females that have breasts BEFORE pregnancy?
ALL other mammals form breast ONLY when pregnant, and after puppies stop being breast feeded, breast diminish in size and return to flatness.
So males have selected bigger breasts over smaller ones, since it is a desirable trait for a-soon-to-be-mother-of-my-child, because there is a relationship between breast size/ fat stored/ and milk production.
So, being a visual gender, males seek big nice round breast, they define human evolution at its best!

Firstly they are a source od fascination for a male as he does not have breasts of his own, secondly there is a comforting, nurturing aspect connected to the breast. If you were breastfed, you will remember the nurture and satisfaction of being at your mother's breast. As a child if you were upset, your mother picked you up and held you and your head normally lay in her breast, there's a feeling of "all's right with the world" for a man when he has his head on a woman's breast.

well, as males, we have a genetic dispostion to breed with attractive women. when a woman has pleasing features, (hips and breasts are among the more common things men like) it triggers a response in our brains that says "she can bear children, and nurture them". so, we're programmed to find the good babymakers to ensure the survival of our race. also, our caveman ancestors had as many children with as many women as possible, because many of the children wouldnt be strong enough to survive the harsh winters. and since the many different woman could only conceive a baby at certain times, and many of them werent at the same time, men developed an ability to be ready to go sexually at almost any time. that explains why most men fantasize about being with many women, and are so easily aroused. it also explains why women love a faithful man. if you were a cavewoman, you'd have needed to share your man with other women, so to have a man that would only be with you would have made you feel superior to the other women.

now, dont think i'm saying any of this from a moral standpoint, i'm not saying its ok for men to run out and cheat on their wife or something. i'm just stated that from a biological standpoint, theres reasons we have these feelings.

its just a matter of understanding where we get the urge to merge. lol.

It has to thave an evolutionary reason. Males who chose females with healthy breasts were more likely to have offspring which didn't die in infancy due to lack of breast milk. Over time the males with inadequate appeciation of female breasts did not pass on their genes to surviving children.
