I've heard different muscles, I've heard people say that it's the tongue, I've heard the hamstrings, I've heard also the gluteus maximus(butt)? Which muscle is the strongest in the human body?

id say the hamstrings/glutes/and quads because they generate your walking power and really have the capacity to make you move. also i think they may be the strongest because they are the largest.

The heart and tongue are the strongest muscle per size. The problem with those theories is that the heart is made up of involuntary muscle & is mainly an endurance muscle. The tongue, on the other hand, is actually made up of 4 muscles and is not as strong.

The strongest muscle of the body is the masseter muscle, which is located in the jaw.

Relative to size, the strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

The strongest muscle in the human body is the gluteus maximus.
part of the thigh muscle group. It makes up a large portion of the shape and appearance of the buttocks.

But who knows. Lately I think the strongest muscle in my body is in my middle finger due to road rage! lol

Relative to its size, the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body and it is also the ONLY muscle in the entire body that is attached at only one end.

I would have to say the heart. I don't have a reference, but just remembered something from high school biology. It's constantly in motion and needs to pump a large volume blood through the body at a good pressure.

I believe it's the tongue. Did you know when you get your tongue pierced if you even take it out for a few hours it can close up? Pretty strong I'd say.
