Excellent question!
It's truely a measure of how strong thier "faith" is when they can't abide even the most casual scrutiny of thier cult.
Utterly pathetic is what I call it...

To a believer an Atheist is the devil's advocate (no pun intended), meaning they are the epitome of what the believer's mind and soul are telling them.
Personally I like the questions that people of other religions or those of no religion present. They allow me to learn and grow. Grant it you have to take what people say with a grain of salt, but it can drive questions to find the truth. Isn't that what we are all seeking, "The Truth" ?. So your questions may spark my interest to research the facts from all angles and get closer to my goal. Perhaps never achievable but well worth the journey.
My biggest issue with anyone is that their way is the only way. If that was true we'd all look and talk the same. Why are we different? Why did either God make us this way or how did the evolutionary process cause such drastic differences in the us as humans?
There is a lot of physical proof to the scriptures and yet there are many gaps that allow for questions. The term faith can be used very loosely to cover those gaps. Personally it is a feeling that I have that I'm on the right path by giving my heart and soul to the lord and using my mind to guide my search for the truth.

I find that so many "faiths" are actually mindless cults - so far removed from Biblical teachings as to be barely recognizable. These faiths SHOULD be shaken, just to get the BS off of them. But before dismissing it entirely, try reading the Bible for yourself. you'll find that it's nothing like the "christian" factions are presenting. It's about love, not beating each other over the head with Bibles. And it's really powerful to be able to ask a "believer" an intelligent question based on their own Bible.

Interesting that your previous questions have been reported, unless some were yanked and I can not see them. I saw nothing there that offended me, or made me feel threatened. Nor did I feel any diminuation of my faith by any of your statements.
Some people who pose questions from an atheistic point of view intentionally bait others, especially when the qustion implies an answer, or present only tow choices, neither of which is valid in terms of logical arguments. I suppose some are angered by what they see as an attack on their faith, but I merely try to respond when I feel the person asking may gain insight from what I have to add. Your questions seem to fall into the latter type.
That said, atheism or any type of theism is fundamentally a matter of faith, as you said. Scientists, philosophers, theologians, and just plain old people throughout time have sought to prove or disprove the existnece of some supreme being (I'm using God from here on out since I am Catholic). All these efforts, on both sides of the argument share one thing in common: they all fail at some level. The nature of God is such that He is beyond the scope and realm of human thought and all such efforts are destined to fail in the mortal (or, perhaps Earthly is better for your needs) realm. I choose to have faith, as an act of my own free will. In so having this faith, I do not relenquish any of my free will but instead choose a set of guidelines to base my actions upon in this world. I hope this may help you to understand the choices made by many who believe, and that those who are agressive toward your point of view see that is merely your choice, and God's gift of free will means it is yours to make and discuss.
God Bless, and Godspeed.

An atheist can not threaten my faith in God. Allot of bad things have happened to me and my family and I'm going through some rough times right now, since all this stuff does not threaten me,you sure can't. Just because people have reported you for some of your questions does not mean they were threatened,it just means you are being very disrespectful. Good luck and God Bless ^j^

I don't care. I believe in God. I don't believe in religion. I mean how one person decided to connect to God is all on them. Some people fear me for that. But I don't fear your Atheists. I have many friends that are Atheists. And some time you guys do make good points. When asked why are you Atheists. But that still does not steer me from my faith. Everyone should be free to believe what they want to believe. Just live your life the best way that you know how to.

My faith has never been shaken and I'm engaged to an atheist we don't see eye to eye or our beliefs but I've never shaken what he believes and he's never shaken my beliefs even though we both have made good points. I've never harassed someone for not believing what I do or reported questions about it.

Hi, agnostic here. I do have a very strong faith in "god, goddess, all that is" though.
What I think is happening with "people of faith" that are threatened by someone who differs from them is that maybe they aren't that secure with their own faith. It's like the person who needs to have everyone believe the way they do so that way they can convince themselved that they are right...

I have many good friends with different religion/beliefs(Catholic, Christian, Wiccan, and even an Atheist) and we get along really well as long we respect the others wishes about talking about "religion." I, too, don't believe in trying to get my friends to convert to my beliefs just to be my friend. Good Luck. Here is a website that might help you.

what you have stated is what u think:
-u dont believe in a creator or 'god'
-u dont believe the amount of people harrasing you
-u think that you have shaken up peoples faiths
i think that ur opinion shouldnt include those of other disbelievers and maybe you have shaken up some people in ur life who believe and that isnt really nice.. if people are going to disrespect you because you dont believe in god, u dont need 2 talk about it, its just going to upset you
nothin wrong with a healthy debate over religion but no need to shake it up man
