I am 44 years old and still rely on the treatment (yes, it is VERY cheap) that was recommended by the dermatologist when I was a teenager with acne. I wash my face at least 1-2 times every day with plain ivory soap and a Buf Puf. Buf Pufs are found in the aisle with the acne products and is basically a rough sponge that will help exfoliate your skin while the plain soap just cleans. If your face gets really, really dry or breaks out, try the Clean and Clear moisturizer (which has salicylic acid in it) and it will moisturize while it kills the zits. Total cost- 3 bars Ivory soap= 0.97, Buf Puf= 3.50, Moisturizer= about $3. Good Luck.....

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

The best thing for acne it is a Benzoil perozide... Believe me it is working and good...Go at the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist the product they have in that... Me I will suggest you Neutrogena and it is recognize by the dermatologue to use it... Forget about acne product on tablet it is bull ****.
Buy the soap it goes with the Benzoil peroxide... And clean it daily.. avoid to put make up in your face you only feeding acne... I know it's look ugly but after a week you will see the difference and feel better... Also you can avoid any food such as tomatoes, oranges , etc... what ever contain acidity will increase it...
I hope it will work for you...

Visit a dermatologist. There could be other issues causing this. Also, cut all the dairy, and chocolate out of your diet. Oh yeah all that soda you been drinking, stay away from fried foods that helps a lot. No Dairy for the 2nd time, SAY NO TO PIZZA and ICE CREAM. This will aid you in maintaining a powerfully sexy figure too. Good Luck!

if cremes are not working then most likely it is an internal problem. Proactive has chemicals that can actually do your skin more harm. You may have an allergy to the chemicals. (I did)
This what has worked for me after many years and way to much money. go to http://www.liproexin.com purchase the Juliets clean and smooth, teavitra, and the cloth. In one months time you will see an amazing difference. If not they return your money how many other products would do that? I am not getting any kick back for promoteing or anything so don't think that.

shower and take a "new" brush you would use to clean a car's tires and scrub your face. It will hurt like a witch, and bleed lots, but it will work. Then go to wally world and buy the cheap acne creams and put it on. It will go away after a week of doing what I said every day.

I have had the same experience like yours. I have seen at leasst 4 dermotologists. My granddaughter took over and boiled oatmeal and let it cool and applied it to my sores. I kept it on until it dried. She then filled the bathtub with alittle epsom salt and warm water. I relaxed in the tub until the oatmean was removed by itself. You pat yourself dry never rub your skin hard. I slept like a baby that night and repeated the session over the next few weeks and my skin cleared up. Do not pick or scratch if you can help it. These treatments were a god sent to me.

try going to your doctor and asking for a topical cream called Benzamycin. it is a combination of an antibiotic, erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide which is found in clearasil and oxy. the antiobiotic is meant to kill any bacteria which is casuing the acne and the benzoyl peroxide dries the skin out a bit, which causes the acne to go away. it is inexpensive and is usually covered by insurance as it is available generic. you will only have to pay your generic co-pay.

Eat less sugar and greasy foods, learn to maintain stress, and regularly wash your face. Do not pick at acne, and do not let yourself feel judged! If you worry, it only makes acne worse.
Also, consider sunbathing. The sun naturally disinfects your skin and dries up troublesome oils. Always be smart with this, using adequate sunblock and reasonable time limits.

first off proacitve doesn't work so save your money. Go to a dermatologist they will help with the right oral meds to take and topical treatments.
I suffered from acne since I hit puberty and my derm cleared me up within 2 weeks of seeing him, the only mistake I made was waiting so long to visit a derm.
good luck to you.
