I have a male cat who is approximately 1 year old, we had him neutered around 7 months because we purchased a female cat who was spayed. Rather then have him mount her continuously and fruitlessly, we neutered him to stop the cycle. All has gone well for the past four months, no urges were observed, nor any mating like behavior. All of a sudden, in the last two weeks or so, he's begun to viciously bite the back of his lil'sisters neck in what looks like an attempt to mount and copulate. Has anyone else observed anything like this, and people who can provide web sites with information of such, or any added details will be more likely to recieve best answer. Thankyou for your time.

Cats like people mature at different stages. I've had some males that I had neutered at 4 months and still had the desire to have sex, even with a spayed female. It just depends on the cat. Just let them alone, the female will get tired of it, and make him back off eventually.
Some of my cats that were fixed later on after 8 months or so, never have had a desire to mate. It just depends on the cat.
Hope this helps

When my 16 year old cat was a kitten, I lived in a "community" on the top floor of an old mansion. There were three male kittens about the same age, all neutered, and they'd hump eachother when they were playing. He's probably doing just that: playing.

male cats will continue to "service" female cats after they're neutered, it is how ever a bit unusual that he is doing this with a spayed female, they usually only do it with intact ones. my neutered 11 y/o male keeps my 2 y/o female content when she is in heat (yes i know i should fix her, I'm going to when i find a vet i like)

Toodie, I had a cat that died, and he was my favorite cat of all times. He was neutered and when he was younger he really liked stuffed animals and some slippers. I miss him very much! We have 2 kittens now.

When a cat is neutered, the testicles are removed. Without testicles there is no way for the cat's body to produce the male sex horomone, testoerone. No testosterone, no sex drive.

Odds are he is just playing or trying to assert his dominence.

That sounds like it is a dominance issue not a sexual issue. I would let them be unless he seems to hurt her. If it bothers you or one of them gets hurt then start spraying them with water when it happens
