When it happened to us, we just went to Toys 'R' Us and bought a new one. Same thing happened when we rolled and smoked something in the first page of Revalations. Nothing.
(Well that's not entirely true, I got a headache from the ink on the page)

Absolutely nothing. Ouija boards are simply toys that rely on something called the ideomotor effect to give a sense of spookiness. It's well documented, has nothing to do with the supernatural, and is accepted to be fact.

You might as well ask "What happens if you break a chessboard?"

Whoever holds the biggest side of the broken Ouija board gets a wish.

The same thing that happens if you break any game board. Because Ouija is just that - a game.

She will be haunted the rest of her natural life and become a ghost herself, cursed to spend eternity on earth saving old and neglected Ouija boards. But no sense worrying about it.

Nothing is going to happen to you. That being said, sometimes your own mind can play tricks on you in these situations. So, if you are feeling uneasy about it because you believe in ghosts, do what people like ghost hunters and mediums do: apologize for breaking the board, ask them firmly to leave, burn some sage and concentrate on pushing all bad energy out from the room. Free from ghosts!

She's going to die of a heart attack if she doesn't relax and realize its a bunch of fun and games. Unless, of course, the Ouija board told her previously she'd suffer bad events if she broke it. Then she might be in trouble.

Oh great, that's the equivalent of breaking ten mirrors, so if you do the math, 10 x 7 = 70 years of bad luck. She better throw thirty pound so salt over her left shoulder and get eighty rabbits feet to counter the ill effects of this.

Objects only have power if you believe in them. If she truly believes it can or can't harm her, either way, she's right. She's more in danger of harming herself with the debilitation of fear than any "supernatural forces". Do not underestimate the power of the human mind, there are people out there that are literally scared to death. We can make things happen if we believe in them enough.

was she using it at the time it broke, did she have a spirit that she was talking to? if not, then nothing. if she had a spirit going while it broke, it would be safe to say the spirit it still lingering. you need to say good bye before you end using it. i would say she will be just fine, do a cleansing, i am sure this will make her feel better.
