Actually, dogs do know things we don't, because they have heightened senses and a different awareness of the world around them. Dogs have 200 million scent receptors, as compared to our 5 million. Their eyes are more adapted to see in the dark, and they can hear many more frequencies (ever see that dog whistle that we can't hear?) and their hearing is generally more acute.

There is a lot of research about dogs sensing weather changes, natural disasters, and dangerous situations. All animals have a higher awareness of danger for survival in the wild. I think it's fair to say dogs know a lot about our environment and surrounds than we do.

Yeah, I think they do. Whether or not it's just a heightened sense of hearing or smell, or a sixth sense, I don't know. But there are lots of documented cases of dogs, for example, knowing when disaster is about to strike, or knowing that their master is just around the corner and almost home, when us humans surely wouldn't.

Actually, yes. I read that some animals know when earthquakes are coming. I also read that during the tsunami in Indonesia some anmials hightailed it to higher ground before it hit.

I have also read some animals can detect cancer.

absolutely. Some of that has even been scientifically proven. Dogs know when kids are going to have seizures. Cats sense when a woman is in labor.

Yes Cats know when they need Protiens or Carbonhydrates, did you read about animals and birds that eat seeds and fruits that have some Poisons in them? what do they do? well they go then and eat soils that have materials in them that negate the Poisons, how many humans do you know how to do that :-)

I think that humans are more spiritually evolved beings (well, most) but I think that animals are more in touch with their spirituality and their connection to the spiritual dimension and sixth sense.

Yes, they know how to coexist in nature without wasting natural resources. They don't wage wars, there isn't any racism, murders, or other atrocities. They just want to live and grow.

Yep. I think it would be pretty stupid of us to think we're the only things capable of knowing everything.

Yeah like they actually know what a toilet is but they drink out of it anyway. They're rebels like that.
