Birds bones, being hollow, cannot reheal as well human or other mamals' bones. Best thing to do is let it be and some times it will heal it's own but if the wing get worse or the bird gets stressed, take it to the vet right away because it could further injure its self and maybe even die.

Birds have very delicate, hollow bones, thats to help them fly. the BEST thing you could do, is clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide, and put on an infection fighting cream like one sold over the counter for humans. You wouldn't be able to splint it yourself, and the bird would only rip your bandages off. DON'T take it to a vet they only suggest putting it down. I had a crow that I rescued from a dog. The vet said put it down, it will only die. It lived for four years, and TALKED! Please don't feel bad if the bird dies, they have very fast heartbeats, like bunnies, and sometimes can't take the stress of injuries.

It is unlikely that the bird will ever fly again. You could end up taking care of it for several years, assuming it lives (which is very iffy). Contact a wild bird rescue center and give it to them.
