C Dog my girl you are still young and pretty.
So, getting that roomate is the way to go. Make sure that you get along with her (and don't try a male roomate, too much hassle).
Whoever it is, you will both eventually get tired of one another and want to move on, but with the right roomy, that could be a couple of years.
Don't choose someone with radically different culture or religious background. Yes, it could be a learning experience, but you don't want to get hassled every time you bring your boyfried home for an overnight, now do you?
When you get older, you will be tired of all of that and want your own place.
But, for now, you get the advantage of some company, and will save ALOT of money. Also, depending on the neighborhood, it can be safer to have someone else there.

Depends on several things.
1st- Your personality- Do you do better around people, or are you more of a alone person?
2nd- Do you have enough money to live alone?
3rd- Do you have specific rules that your potential roommate has to follow?
4th- Are there rules about people living with you in your apartment?
5th- Do either one of you have problems with pets (important if someone has a cat, dog, etc)
I have been in both situations, and have found that I like both for different reasons. Roommates can help keep you from being lonely, but at the same time you two can get on each other's nerves. Living alone can allow you to feel completly independent, but can be scary depending on if you are a male or female, and where you live.
Have you ever considered getting a pet. You can still have your independence and feel like you are living with a roommate.

If you can afford it, live solo. There is nothing like absolute freedom and who wants to deal with people who won't clean up after themselves or pay their rent on time. I would say avoid the unneccessary headaches and live alone with a pet of some type!

I perfer a roomate that it seems like i can trust because i dont want to live alone and be bored. You can invite people over but its not the same as always having someone there that you can trust and talk to.

Definitely live solo. No matter what you have to do, live alone. There nothing better then to have your own space. I had a roommate once, and I'll never have one again.

Well if you're a neat freak, go solo. I've had very sloppy roommates that drove me insane! But if you don't mind it being messy go with a roommate.

They are both good.... I was wondering the same question about a month ago, and I just decided to move into a place with one of my buddies from school.... Don't move in with someone just cuz you think you know them. Make sure that you really know where they are coming from and also make sure you know their family.... You don't want to get robbed or something like that from you roommate.
