Sorry, but you can't spot reduce fat. Fat is a systemic problem. On the upside, you can tone the underlying muscles.

To lose body fat, follow a sensible diet and do about 30 minutes of aerobic exercise every day, such as brisk walking, jogging, biking stair climbing, etc. In order to burn body fat, you need to be on your feet, giving your large muscle groups a good workout, i.e., hips and thighs, coincidentally the same muscles you want to tone.

Good luck!

Quit punishing your thighs. So what if you aren't in a size 6 or 8. Take a good, long look at those thighs that take you where you want to go. Are they shapely? Muscular? What are you putting on your feet? Something cute, I hope.

To take care of your hardworking thighs, walk whenever possible, and do some strength training, since muscle burns fat, but fat doesn't burn fat. Eat sensibly (1400-1800 calories a day), and drink plenty of water. Then reward those thighs. Buy a fantastic cream, or a really good razor, or anything that makes you feel good. All of us deserve it!

you can't loose weight from a specific part of your body, but you can tone your thighs which will decrease their size (since muscle takes up less room than fat) and in turn burn more calories a day by your added muscle mass. Just type in google "thigh toning excersises" and try to do them 3 times a week, giving your muscles a day in between to rest. Also yoga helps a lot in the toning of muscles. But if you really want to go down a size it'll take you forever by cardio alone.

Pilates at least twice a week. Do cardio the other five days. Running or walking are best. This will give thighs a slimmer appearance since it elongates your muscles. Drink plenty of water, and stay off the carbs or salt.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.

Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with excellent resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter.

A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com

Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Contrary to popular belief, you can't "spot reduce". The only way to lose the fat on your thighs is to lose it all over your body. I'm sorry to say it, but the only thing that's going to help is to eat sensibly and exercise daily.

Do running and alot of leg-movement exercises. If you're working with weights, so squats and leg lunges-those are best for your thighs. If your not using weights, run, do alot of stretches, and bicycling is real good too. Good luck!

swimming is probably the best exercise because it is non-impact but still works your leg muscles. Jogging is ok a little hard on the knees and joints walking is ok as well but the same applies.
