God doesn't punish us for someone elses sins, but the sins of others do have an effect on everyone (that's why they are bad).
Ezekiel 18:20 -- "The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him."

Because its not just about us. It's about the issue of universal sovreignty ... Satan said God didn't have the right to rule. Adam and Eve agreed. The angels were all watching then. God could have put an end to Satan, Adam and Eve right then and there, but it wouldn't have settled the issue. Instead, he gave Adam and Eve what they wanted...to rule themselves. Humans have to be able to try out every form of government so that we come to the conclusion that God really IS the only one who can rule over us properly. We have to trust that God knows exactly when the issue has been settled. He'll take care of things when that point in time arrives.

Simply put, it's not about us. When Adam and Eve sinned, God's sovereignty(his right to rule) was challenged. Satan knew better than to challenge God's power. Whether mankind could successfully rule themselves apart from God would take time to prove. So here we are, Humans have tried every form of government, all have failed.
God did make arrangements to restore the earth to a paradise when he sent Jesus down to earth to pay a ransom for our sins.

He doesn't. How could he? He does not exist. Neither did Adam and Eve exist. You are muddling your brain with the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and delusions of a bunch of ignorant wandering Bronze Age goat herders. That crap has no more relevance today than stories about Zeus, Odin or Ra. Get a grip.

Children paying the price of the father's sin is a common occurrence in the Bible, despite what you and I might think is fair. The bottom line is found in Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," We are also paying the price for our own sins...separation from God.
Jesus paid the price for our sins through His death on the cross. We need only to believe and have faith in Him as our Lord and Savior, and God will save us from the second death...the lake of fire (Rev.20:14, 15).

ok, when Adam and Eve sinned, they basically "infected" themselves with sin. and they passed the infection on to everyone of their descendants and so on. so unless we believe in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, we will never be cured of our sin.
