I work with Children's Services. Often times we want to place children with their relatives, unfortunately sometimes that can be difficult. Unless the country of their origin documents crimes like we do with the FBI and/or the Department of Justice we have no way of knowing. You can still conduct a state and national background check, however unless they have committed a crime in the USA (FBI) or state (DOJ) you may never know. Several consulates are cooperating with jurisdictions like ours and do their best to provide this type of information.

Why are so many people in a rage over illegal aliens but so few seem to worry about the businesses that employ them?

2006-07-10 22:57:00 · answer #3 · answered by Rory McRandall 3 · 0 0

there is no list of illegal aliens

that's the whole point

sometimes they are called "undocumented" aliens

that means they have no papers, they are not registered anywhere, nobody knows they are here

when they snuck across the border, they did not stop to put their names on a list, and the did not report to anyone

no one knows how many are in the country or where or who they are

that's sort of WHY they are illegal

There like 10 Million of them, I think if the INS had a list they would be deporting them. Thats the bad part, no one knows who or where they are.

There wouldn't be a list of illegal aliens. If there was, they wouldn't be aliens anymore because the government would send them back to their country.

That would be an invasion of privacy. And it isn't like they are going to go around declaring their names, city, and status. That would be like putting a homing device on yourself for INS.

uhmmmmm - if they are illegal then we do not know about them or we would be rounding them up - why would they sign thier name to the list and say hey i am committing a felony - that is like saying - "is there a list of all people who have shoplifted but never gotten caught" until they are caught no one knows they did it!!!

Illegal aliens tend to stay away from listings.. because they're illegal and don't want to go home
