Depends on what your calling a MEDIUM size wedding.
Wedding can run in the $1000.00s (Thousands) of dollars.
And that can rack up real fast.
If your limited on money....1st make a BUDGET and STICK to it.
A wedding dress can look very nice and not be expensive.
A good place to look, wedding boutique dresses under $500.00
or you can go to JC PENNYS and get a BRIDAL CATALOGUE, they are free..and you should be able to find a dress between $200. & $300.00 or LESS!
Bridesmaids, Flowergirl and Mothers dresses too.
IF your crafty or any of your friends/family is into crafts you can make your Cake/ cake decorations/ Table decorations, ETC.
Even the Flower arragements!
Where is the wedding going to be planned?
IF it's going to be in a church, you usally only give the preacher a $$Gift...and pay the Organist or Pianoist....
IF its going to be at a restaurant then your looking at a pretty big bill....Is the wedding dinner going to be a Sit-down style, where you have waitresses or is it going to be a Buffet Style, where everyone serves themselfs.
What about Drinks....if your going to have Alchohol...DO NOT have an OPEN BAR...(FREE BOOZE)...you'll go BROKE quick!
And don't forget to have the $$$Moneydance$$$...
Thats where the men pay to dance with you, and the girls pay to dance with your new husband.
You'll need a "Money Purse" or Money Pouch which you'll wear on your wrist when you dance.
Then have someone you trust to hang on to it when it gets full and to hang on too the checks you'll get.
Don't forget you'll want PICTURES...and a STRETECH LIMO.
Which you'll need to make a reservations for the LIMO. at least
3 weeks in advance..(your not the only one getting married).
Expect to pay for a Limo for at least 3 hrs...Each company has there own Policys for weddings so call around and find out what they are...and REMEMBER..when reserving a Limo, CHEAPER ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER.....(I'm a Limousine Reservationist).

i went to a bridal expo recently in Oz, and it was said that an average ozzie wedding costs around $29,000.00, depends what u want, a big wedding or a great marraige. The cost of your wedding bares no guarantee on the length or happiness of the marriage and personally i'd rather spend money on a house than watching the relo's get smashed for a night. its up to u.

As much or as little as you want. You can save so much money doing things yourself, instead of having it done
for you. Like flowers, you and some friends and family
can make them, if you don't have an objection to silk flowers, I've seen them done absolutely beautiful. The dress, shop around, it saves alot of money and you still can find the perfect dress. It doesn't have to cost a fortune to have a beautiful wedding or reception.

The biggest costs is the hall, food and alcohol. Visit some Halls in your area. They normally have folders with pricing per person. Expect on paying Thousands. Unless you have it at the local water Buffalo hall and have a barbecue. I had mine at a beautiful hall than saved on other things. I even looked on the brides maids racks for my dress and asked for it in white. Don't think I compromised too much. It was a Vera Wang brand new for over half the price. I also made my own center pieces. Did my own hair, etc......

the size really doesn't matter. a dress can cost you anywhere from $20 to $20,000 or more depending on what you want it to look like, if you can make it or some one else you know can make it or if you want to go to a store and pick one out.

My wedding dress was made by my aunt and it only cost me $40. that was enough material for my dress and my album and my pillow and my first child's christening gown.
