It started with a bar in Daytona Beach. They had 10 cent tequila night. I don't know how many I drank in one minute - maybe four, but that was only the beginning. Many more tequilas later, I remember falling asleep behind an amplifier. A nice local girl brought me to the band-house and as we laid together in bed I threw up on her. Luckily she wasn't upset. the next day we woke up in the afternoon, cleaned up and had some nice seafood. Never saw her again. Have never touched tequila either. Oh, nostalgic good old 70's. & 80's. To this day just thinking of Tequila makes my stomach turn. Stay away from the stuff!

That's the problem with tequila you can never remember how many shots. When I was in mexico I must have taken 5 shots within seconds, they just kept on feeding me shots. So in saying that i don't like tequila anymore.

I don't do shots of tequila. The first time I got drunk, it was on Pepe Lopez tequila, and I was 15. I filled a 32 oz. plastic tumbler with about 3/4 tequila, a splash of sprite (Hey...I was a kid...what did I know about mixing drinks? LOL) and a few ice cubes, and chugged it in about 30 seconds. Does this count??

Tequila is a wonderful liquor and if you ever get a chance to tour the city of Tequila, Mexico please do, you could learn a great deal about this magical liquor. That said, never done shots, simply not why I drink

Straight up or prairie fires? The latter includes a healthy Tabasco floater.... and my contribution was 7 followed by a brisk walk outside to regroup.
