have brick colored walls in living room and don't have an idea on the color of curtains to put .?

Gee people she has brick COLORED walls. And asking about curtains! I would try and bring in some of the furniture color to the curtains. Not really enough info to say in any detail. does the room have a theme? Like country or modern. Maybe a shade or blinds with a valance on top. In what ever color accents your furniture or paints./pictures.

You don't say if your sofa or chairs are a certain color. I think the brick color sounds sort of country. I would try for off white sheers and add a valance across the top, perhaps with a checked material that has the brick color in it. Sheers would tend to soften the decor while the valance would blend in with the wall color. I love to decorate, but everyone has a taste of their own.

Depends on the mood you want and if you wish to emphasize the color or minimize it. To emphasize it and brighten the room use whites,creams, tans, black,or bright colours (blue,green,yellow) to minimize it and create a moody feel use something that blends in like brown, navy, forrest green, or the same colour curtains. For a festive air- silver, or for a rich look go with gold.
