Just remember what you stand to gain,or lose as a result of your choices. For example dont worry about where you spend the night but where you spend eternity.

You over come it by finding new friends and really getting involved in your church. You have a thing called free will...just because you become a Christian doesn't mean that you instantly become a saint. You are a work in progress eventually you will over come is you trust in God....You have to remember that God sees all and knows all and most of all he knows what is in your heart. He will test you and He will bring you to your knees if
need be. You are the only one who knows what feels right for you right now. You may think your parents don't know that you are lying but honey if they keep up with you at all they know you are lying. So straighten up and tell the truth because if you think your parents wrath is bad let God get a hold of you and then see what happens... If you stray to far he will make it to where He will be the one you will have to ask to get past something major in your life and from the sound of it... it could be a bad car wreck or something to that effect. If it pertains to drugs and alcohol then you need to get outside help with that before it does get out of hand. I really don't think you want to go that route.

God bless and may you choose the right path because the wrong one is a long hard road. partying and lying is the easy road the hard rode is always doing the right thing... Just begin by cutting back on the partying and STOP lying to your parents because that will come back on you when you have your own kids. Karma comes back three fold...

Dude, you're human. And as much as some people hate to hear it, you're gonna be making these choices and you won't always be making the right ones. What this sounds like to me is that you're not really asking about you being a good Christian, it's about how you have found you don't have much self-discipline. For you to stop lying to your parents, you need to build self-discipline. That's also part of being a good Christian, I think, is having the self-discipline to do the right thing. If you want the best of both words, you can either talk to your parents about your partying, wait until you're legally able to drink, or keep lying. It's your choice :) good luck!

Everybody wants to have a good time and get the most out of life. Thats just human nature. The weird thing is that christianity make you feel guilty about the things you have the biggest urges to do.
I used to call myself a christian, but in the last couple of years I've started to see a lot of problems with the bible and organized religion in general. I still believe in a god, but I don't follow the bible. I believe that if you have good intentions, and try your hardest to be a good person, then you probably are a good person.
I still pray to god and ask him to help me with my problems and I believe it has always worked to a certian extent. If you decide to pray don't forget to thank him/her for the good things in your life!
hope that helps.

does partying really fulfill you? I find it hard to believe that it does. Most partying I've come across has been pretty empty and superficial. God doesn't want to spoil your fun or take away your friends--He wants to fulfill you and give you joy unspeakable. But He wants you to put Him first in your life. He'll forgive you every time you truly repent, but thats no way to live life. I think you have to break the cycle somehow. It might take something drastic, but I think you'll be better off for it. But you have to realize that youre not giving up on fun to be right with God--He wants you to trust Him with your life, and if you put your life in His hands, He'll satisfy you. Get some (Christian)support people to help you, if you can. If they are truly Christians, they wont judge you for what you've done, but will want to help you through it.

I know what you mean. You want to do good for God, but the worldly stuff is so fun. I believe it is somewhere in the bible where it says "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak", or something along those lines.

As for getting over doing those worldly things, I would take baby steps. Like focus on one thing which you know is wrong and focus on not doing that thing for as long as you can. Good luck.

When you are born-again you are like a new baby spiritually. You have to
start reading your Bible and start in John.We have to feed on Gods word
and pray to him for guidance.Jesus will NEVER leave you or FORSAKE
you no matter how bad you are.If you are saved God will not leave you helpless he will draw close to you as you learn more about him.I pray
that my Lord will make this real to you.Trust Jesus you can't go wrong.

None is perfect but the Father. None. Once you are saved it doesn't mean that your actions and thoughts will change automatically. I takes as the Word says for you to die daily. That means for you to change daily. As you study the Word you will slowly desire to nolonger live as you have been. The fact that you feel guilty is a sign that God is dealing with you. Stop beating up on yourself if you could change by yourself then you wouldn't need Him.

i guess, bad company corrupts good character. Certain things can be within the boundary of acceptable. Just remember not to cross the line... and consider what will happen next - in the long run - mentally, physically, and spiritually.

give your life to god trust him with all your heart ,mind. that guilt is a convitction a sign that you are not doing something right. you cannot have both worlds the bible says your are either a slave to righteousness or a slve to sin. i would suggest you re evaluate your friends, spek to your parents abou it, most of all pray.
