That's a good question, someone mentioned the person in question would be a serial killer, that only depends if they intended to kill all their other personalities or if they were atfer only one of them, so if he did kill only one of their personalities and then inevitably died then they could be done for murder and also mansluaghter, If they failed then could be done for attempted murder or manslaugther, but then all the other personaliies would get locked up with the bad one, so they would have to be released because they hadn't done anything wrong. ....I'm confused now!!..... where am I going with this!! Anyway stupid question stupid answer can I have 10 points please, cos I've only had one lot of 10 points before and they mean so much to me?

I guess not. Only one of the personalities can occur individually, not simultaneously at any time. Therefore, if you were to 'take yourself hostage' it would only be considered as a suicide attempt.
In theory, the Hostage Taker would never kill the hostage as it would end 'both' lives. Ultimately the hostage taker killing himself = suicide.
Oh i'm confused......

I knew this guy with multiple personality disorder. His girlfriend was one of his other personalities (no joke). He even had women's clothing in his apartment for when she 'came over'.
