Why not try to talk to him? Is he single? If he is, then you could casually ask him, if he thought, you could be more than friends. Unfortunately, the only way to get the answer is to ask him. If you really love him and want it to be something more, you have to ask, BUT before you ask him, be prepared for the consequences. Are you ready to date him, if he is interested? What will he do, if he isnt interested? Will you lose a friendship? Just make sure you think about all that first.

You are not displaying friendship. Decide whether your friendship is worth destroying first, because once you cross that line you can not go back. second of all ask yourself did you become his friend in the first place because you were attracted to him. If you do tell him and he don't feel the same, you'll be picking your chin up off the ground. (been there)
