Where can I get DNA profiling for ethnic identification done in India?

I would like to have my ethnicity determined. I have choosen DNA profiling for this.

There's also Family Tree DNA (http://www.familytreedna.com/), which is based in the USA but will send and accept orders from around the world. They also have many ongoing projects on tracing geographical origins for paternal ancestry based on the Y chromosome and for maternal ancestry based on mitochondrial DNA.

All of these operate by sending you a kit to take cheek cell samples and send back to the lab, so all of them operate on a worldwide basis. I haven't used any of these services, but if I were, I'd go with the one that uses the most markers; they're likely to be the most accurate.

They do things by mail order, so I assume you could send a sample from India. I have no personal experience with this service, so I make no claims about how reliable they may or may not be.
