Is it that you do not know if your hair has been washed or that you don't actually remember doing so? If you can't determine if it has been washed with a little investigating, you probably need to check with someone more knowledgeable than this audience. However, if you just don't remember washing your hair but you know you did, this is probably because this is something that you can do without any conscious thought - the process is ingrained. So, rather than concentrating on washing your hair you are thinking about the fight you had with your husband or how fat your thighs are getting and afterward you don't remember washing your hair because you were lost in thought about other things not directly associated with washing your hair.

Alzheimer's ? At 31 ? I don't think so. More likely just disorientation upon waking up. If you take an OTC / prescription sleep aid & don't get 8 full hours of sleep, that could account for an inability to remember some things upon waking up.

Could just be that you're so busy one day blends in with the next. I've done that- wondered, was it yesterday or the day before that I did that?

It really isn't a big deal. It's one of those things that you do sometimes without even registering it in your mind because it's so routine.

If it continues and starts making you question the big stuff, then I'd consider talking to someone. But from the info you've give you sound "normal" to me.

It could be that you are depressed or stressed. Are you using recreational drugs or drunk? If not you could be really stressed or undergoing a major depression. Take a look at what is going on in your life. Most likely at your age you are just doing too much. Are you in school and working at the same time? If you feel that is not the issue go see your doctor. I know multitasking can do this. Sit back and look at your life and see what is going on. Is your life in the fast lane? Are you getting 8 hours of sleep?
Do you think you need to get this checked out by a doctor? It really depends on other factors.

It might be hormonal. The #1 hormone - because it can affect the production of all the other hormones - is insulin.

Before I got diagnosed with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), my short term memory was shot. I would have to write down a 5 digit number on a piece of paper to walk 6 steps to the computer to put it in to find out what I needed to know, and then, of course, had to write down what I found out, to walk the 6 steps back to my desk.

I am much better now that I have learned about high insulin, low blood sugar and what foods to eat to minimize the effects of both.

It is just a blond morning thing. I know, I am blond and there are times when I wash my hair twice or worse yet, try to use shampoo as body wash. I am not the best morning person.

You're probably just not a morning person. The day you forget who you are, then you might have some worries. If this is really bugging you, consider one of the many mental clarity suppliments available over-the-counter. Contact me if you need some direction on where to find these.

I'm 30 and sometimes I accidentally put my facewash on my toothbrush. I brush for a while before i notice. Either we're both nuts, or really tired and busy.
