Genetics play a role, most likely your parents are of normal weight. You probably are very active. Yes, it will catch up with you. Just make sure you get some fruits and vegetables with the junk. Listen to your body... it is telling you to eat healthier.

This means you have a fast metabolism... nothing is wrong with that. DON'T pig out on junk food... it won't help anything. Only try to gain weight if you are underweight. If you are, eat bigger portions of healthy food at dinner time. Also, seek a doctor for help if you want to gain a little weight yet stay healthy.

Stay clear of carbohydrates! White bread, white pasta, I feel even entire wheat pasta don't seem to be well. Natural carbohydrates are OK; avocados, potatoes, even a little bit rice. Whole Wheat bread is OK, I feel. I certainly not think complete or hungry (after my mind harm), however I used to be advised to do this to drop pounds. ALSO, get within the dependancy of strolling your weight off, that is rough for me, on account that I ambulate with a cane!

You have a fast metabolism. Careful because you won't always be like that. The older you get your metabolism will slow down.

Gaining weight is a longer term thing. Watch out when you get to your mid twenties, your metabolism changes and it is much easier to put on weight.
