it happened 5 hours ago and i have been cooling it in water, feels good but i dont want it to bother mer when im sleeping (on my hand)

Cool water is great. First degree burns do not scar. It's like having a bad sunburn without the blisters.They do hurt and there are products that can help with the pain. Aloe vera is good, but you might consider a topical anesthetic like SolarCaine. It's not critical. Hope you feel better soon.

hello there. yes you can put aloe vern on sun burn. i had third degree sun burn and i put aloe vern on it. when i had third degree sun burn and got into cold water it hurt so bad and it stay sore for two weeks or so. barb
