Are women intimidated of intelligent/respectful guys? I am 24, have a physics degree, and can do just about anything but I cannot find anybody truly interested in me. I think on the next level but I like to have fun too. I have been told that I am very mature for my age and that I am attractive. I am very respectful and cherish women. Is it me or is society changing? Do women not like my type anymore?

Well, I can only speak for myself, but...

Personally, I need a man to have brains. Cute and dumb is good for a weekend, maybe, but that's it. Respectful is a necessity too, but I want the guy to have the nerve to stand up to me sometimes too. (Sometimes...operative word there ;) ) The trick is finding the happy medium. It's really easy to come off as a know-it-all without realizing you're doing it. (I'm not saying YOU do, mind you...just saying it can happen easily enough.) And while respectful is a good thing, you can also easily give the illusion of stamping the word "doormat" on your forehead.

But that's me. I hate to say it, but a lot of women DO seem to enjoy morons that treat them like crap. I can't say I understand that. My mother drilled it into my head from the beginning that there isn't a man alive worth being mistreated by.

I probably didn't help much, did I? Sorry...I get rambling sometimes. Be patient. She's out there. Half the fun is looking for her. Good luck.

i think that our society is changing but i do know being a woman that women always want what they cant have, or want the mean guy who treats them like sh####. I am 34, going throgh a divorce of 10 years and during this split i met a guy 42 prison record, tatoos all over i mean every part of his body yea even that! it says "your name" not mine or yours but you get it. anyways he was nice for the first weeks we were hanging out as friends we had sexual tension between us we both knew. as soon as we spent the second night together the first was so perfect, and no sex was involved, but that second night a weird o came out every once in awhile like a split demon personality. kinda scared me. then he did not talk to me for a few days, and then he came around for a few and gone again. over and over hed say things like shut up ***** and rough house i think, and i was bruised all over i could go on. well i left the state back home, and havent heard from him since. i still think about, miss, want to talk to him when the day i left i went to where he was and there he had another woman cooking breakfast and he did not lift one finger to help me move my stuff they watched my mom and me lift heavy stuff my mom said those are not real men!! so i do not know why us stipid women want all thats not healthy, its not like i am unattractive, and cant do better cause quite the opposite my friends tell me they picture me with a lawyer or doctor whatever that means.

Are you telling these women how intelligent you are? No one likes a smart a**. I dated a guy that acted like he was smarter than everyone else, that was a little intimidating.

It might just be the age group your looking in. Try an older woman, they tend to stand on their own and know what they want out of life.
