perhaps he is not a very conversant and would prefer chatting online, and he does need to engage in activities on his own too, chatting maybe something he always enjoyed, don't restrict him and tell him he can only speak to you alone and he is not suppose to talk to any strangers or his friends. That would appeared to be very possessive of you. Let him have his own time to do things on his own too.

Same thing happened to an ex girlfriend of mine that I stayed friends with, both when I was with her, and now with her current boyfriend. For me, I am way too shy to speak to a girl live that I don't know. I have to find a way for us to get to know each other a little bit first, and go for there. The problem is that the adrenaline of meeting new people, and having all those "first" conversations are such a rush, and such an ego boost when it seems like you have a few girls interested in you at the same time, that it is hard to let go unless you fall completely and madly in love.

Chatting online and meeting people online is fun. You can learn a lot of stuff that way and make some good friends. Don't worry about it.

Simple. Some people aren't good at face to face conversation. They are more confident in email, chat or on the phone. They have difficulty expressing themselves vocally.

Many people like to converse with lots of different people with different opinions on a variety of topics. The main question I would be wondering about if I were you is; Is he looking around and flirting or is he just intellectually curious?

To the point that he asked you out i presume that he does like you.... the fact that he is chatting on-line.,.... well alot of men do that.... To me it seems that they want what is forbidden,......and it excites them because on the Internet they can pretty much be who ever that want to be,,,, and no one ever knows.....

Maybe his doing just that....CHATTING......Why do we get paranoid as females when someone we think "belongs to us" talks to someone else.......If you were engaged to him it would be a different story.......Take care
