Do you mean Mexican immigrants? I have known many of them and taught many of their children. They are more like you and I than they are different. They love their families, they take pride in their jobs and they want to improve the life of their children.

I think our system abuses these people terribly, and scapegoats them when anybody gets upset because the faces in his neighborhood, his church or his job changes.

I think we should be glad that these people want to be Americans.

One of the previous answers said it all--they have 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 legs, etc., and are no different than any one else--EXCEPT if they knowingly and willingly broke our laws to come here illegally. I do not accept that lawlessness any more than I accept any other. Being part Choctaw, I could claim to have more reason to hold a grudge against the Whites, Mexicans, French, German, etc., you name it but what is the point? AND I will not tolerate a flood from any other country saturating my country in the hopes of taking over. If the Mexican people who come here do it LEGALLY, learn the language of the land, English, assimilate into United States culture and denounce the agenda of Aztlan, LaRaza and Mecha then, welcome and become an American. And, if the earlier comment about what is my city was in response to my earlier comment--it is Yuma Arizona where there is an average of 400+ illegals CAUGHT by our Border Patrol EVERYNIGHT and that is just the caught. The Border Patrol estimate that figure is maybe 1/3 of the total coming across. Just since Oct. 1st of 2005, more than 100,000 illegals have been caught. That is more than the population of this town or my former home town--how does it compare with yours? AND JUST THINK, THAT IS JUST 10 MONTHS AND JUST IN THE YUMA SECTOR OF THE BORDER. So, be prepared--what is that saying SOON TO BE IN YOUR AREA!

Actually, I think that Mexican people are fine. I lived in CA for a while and some of my closet friends were Mexican. Some of the hardest working people I have ever met. But, they came here legally.
My problem is not with any particular race. My problem is with anyone coming into my country illegally.

I have nothing against Mexicans, My uncles are Mexican and so is my brother and all my cousins. However, they are not illegals. They are educated people, and they work hard and they are great people. For some reason we forget to understand that many Mexicans have been here for hundreds of years way before we were America and they have contributed greatly to this country.
My beef about many illegals is that many of them are troubled. We have no way of knowing what laws they broke in Mexico and they put a further strain on the system that we have already. Also our health care system. I know that many illegals just want a better way of life, but I also know that many have been in prison for really bad crimes and come here and commit them and then run back to Mexico and hide out and then reappear again here in the US.

I think they have 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 legs, 2 arms, a nose and a mouth just like every human being. And since I accept that fact that human beings live in this country, sure I'll accept Mexicans to live here too.

Why is every one racist against the Mexicans. Do you all care that everyday there are Cuban durglords coming here to America and filling the streets with drugs (I have nothing against Cubans) I have no problem with them here because I don't want to be out in the Fields picking crops. Would you? Most of Americas economy is built on Immigrates. America would suffer without the illegals. VIVA LA RAZA.

yes if they do it the right way. Mexican people are great folks there is nothing wrong with them at all however they need to have all their paper work in order and do things legal. Start learning English a little more but they are still awesome people.

Mexicans have been living here since the beginning of the US, we have never been without them, we just need them to come in an orderly fashion and apply like other immigrants that want to come. we cannot accept hordes of people at one time especially illiterate people, no country can survive that, it hurts our economy and our standard of living. And we need to take care of ourselves and our children first. I no a lot of nice Mexican people, it is nothing against them, but our country needs to survive to. if we do nothing they will just keep coming until we have 100 million poor, that is to much.

If they intend to work, I don't know what the stereotype of Mexicans is, but I think they are sort of shunned in America, I don't know what it is in the UK, because I've never come into contact with a Mexican before.

They make good Nachos though.

message to "aj of usa" about mexicans being perverts--- What? why are republicans so ignorant? i don't think it was necessarily right for them to come over illegally, but there here now, and there not terrorists, so let them stay. bush presented a plan which would have mexicans stay in america for no more that 2 3 year periods.

also, to the asker, it is spelled "accept"
