You may want to look into cat rescues in your area. All rescues are different, but most will take in cats. They take care of the cat until they can find them a permant home. Most rescues will keep cats in foster homes, where they live with a family until their permant home can be found. Most rescues ask potential adopters questions and do home visits. Some even require that the cat remains indoors once adopted. This way you know that your cat is getting the best home possible. I also recommend that you ask for some kind of fee, so you can make sure that the potential adopter is serious about taking care of your cat. When you give a cat away for free, there is a chance that people will sell him to scientific research or neglect to take care of him. I have learned this from experience. If you want to know more about rescues or find one in your area visit this website. www.petfinder.com It is a nation wide website of animal rescues. And by the way all animal rescues on the website are required to be non profit, so they are not in it for the money and they really care about the animals.

dear i would put this in the paper or make up flyers... you wont find a good home here online. the poor guy probably should be with someone you know who will take him so he wont feel so threatened when he makes his big move though
