My parents migrated here from Mexico legally....
Missy, we all know to well what goes on in Mexico. We were fortunate that we had the funds and resources to come here legally.
Back in the day when my father came here, the laws were not so stringent to come here legally, times have changed.
I don't begrudge those poor illegals for coming here to seek a better life. We know what they go through in that country. Its oppressive and corrupt. The country is beautiful and so is the culture. But the govt is another story.
My husband is from Mexico city and he is a legal resident. The time and cost it took to get him to be a resident is quite time consuming and expensive!
These people have neither the time or funds to wait for the legal process, they are starving now....
So before you go and assume all legal immigrants are dead set against illegals, think again. We have empathy for these people, they are the forgotten and throw aways in their own country. Have a little humanity, maybe?

It is unfair on the part of legal immigrants because they passed through the normal process sometimes with exorbitant fees. Illegal entrants now pose a problem due to crowding in hospitals and other public places. Anyway, the government should help to curb illegal immigration.

Two different things actually. By illegal immigrants I presume you mean Mexican persons crossing the border without intentions of returning to Mexico?
These are people who fall between refugee and immigrant status. They are fleeing fear and poverty. So do all refugees. The US is just refusing to do anything to stop abuse by corrupt Mexican Federales.
If the US did the right thing and intervened in Mexico, these people would be called political refugees, not illegal immigrants.
You can bet they'd step in in 2 seconds if the Royal Canadian Mounties were abusive and corrupt.
I don't blame them for coming here one little bit.

HELL YES... it takes 4 to 5 yrs. to have your sponsorship as a spouse and kids to finalize. Then, when you r here, it takes five to 6 years to get your citizenship. And not to even mention F****** all the fee to pay, all the trips, standing in lines for your paperwork, and here come some Ignorant Senator trying to get votes, and gives your same rights to someone who has been here illegaly, and only 1 to 2 years, but produces fake papers, and gets to the same point where you got after 11 to 12 yrs. Is it Fair???HELL NO....

Good question. I was looking forward to reading the answers. But, as usual, people didn't take the time to read properly. Idiots! Better luck next time.
