Yes my first male kitty did that he loved his little red ball with a bell in the middle I tossed it he ran after it and pick it up with his teeth (one of those cat bell balls that you can see the bell in the middle) and bring it back to me. Though after he got over a year old he ran after the ball but that was the end of playing fetch.
What would be really cute is if you could take a photo of her carrying the ball in her mouth back to you, in which I was never able to do because I never had the camera around when he did it and when I did have the camera he would drop the ball just before I went to click the camera. Good Luck if you try doing this!

yea! when my mom first gave me my new kitten(seven years ago, when i was 8) she was soo tiny. and few days later she started chasing after paper balls, playing with pencils, and just chasing any small object that rolls or flies. and like every time i throw the ball, she runs wildly across the livingroom to go get the ball and bring it back to me! and now she's a grown\old cat and she STILL chases objects like she's still a kitten!!! so don't get all excited about your kitten playing fetch because most kittens do that and the cat might still do that for the rest of his\her life until she's like...16 years old. i'm 15 now and my cat is seven years old and we still play the SAME way we did seven years ago.

my girl friend has a cat that loves to fetch crumbled up pieces of paper from a note pad. But when she gets bored she puts it in her water bowl. About every night she will come home and the silly cat has found some colored paper to put in the waterbowl and it is a strange color.

my female cat does the same. She goes after balled up paper. If we throw it,she'll trot off and drop it at our feet, waiting for us to do it again.Nice to hear someone else has a cat who does the same.
We also have to make sure there is no loose change where she can get it. I made 36 cents one morning because she kept bringing out more coins to me.

My cat just turned 3 and he still plays fetch. He's very playful. He likes to play hide and seek, too.

Naw. I've seen cats play fetch before. I have one now who likes to fetch hair scrunchies and put them in his water. Someone told me that he's trying to make tea.

My cat would fetch a miniature soccer ball when she was younger. I heard of this from many people.

we had the most wonderful cat named Monkey, she played with marbles in the bathtub, everytime you went to the bathroom Monkey would come in and want to play, sometimes we had to hide the marbles! she knew where we kept them and would beg for you to play, even if you ignored her she would bring you a marble, she loved to carry them around in her mouth when she had kittens some of the marbles disappeared, we later discovered them in the box with her kittens, she taught them too

No..cats will chase any thing that moves and will want to chase it again. Some just don't care to much to bring it back. She may stop though when she outgrows being so playful..but you may never know.
