Cadillac CTS
It is a classy car and an incredible ride.
The car has a very strong structure, and amazing features like heated front car seats in minutes, with powerful air conditioning. The CST feels like a cockpit at nighttime with night vision, with far reaching light across the plains.
The CTS has interesting transmission and suspension with a sports button, and another for bad weather driving with skid rebalancing. You will literally feel the difference in the ride, on curves, the height and distance to others around you. Plus you will lead from the light.
It is a secure feeling too, the number one reason why I bought it.
The price has come down incredibly alot making it an affordable vehicle. This car is a class of its own. Plus it should hold a resale value far superior than many cars.
You will pay more than $30,000 but the price is much much lower than last year.

UNDER 30K.....Probably Honda Accord Coupe. IT's redesign in the back a little, looks kinda like a Mercedes Benz CL in the back. You can get that well equiped.
or a Chrysler 300, descently equiped
also, not sure about the exact cost of the Toyota Avalons, but the 06's are niiiiiiiiice. They are like an under done 07' Lexus LS 460, for under about 30k, you wont be able to get a Limited version but you probably can get like an XL an some option.

Honda Civic Hybird . . . may not be the sharpest car, but people are getting anywhere from 48 to 52 mph. If you drive a lot in town, I know one person who is getting up to 60 mph. I could be out and about as much as I want to be or spend the old gas money on other things.

Scion tC, as long as they have fixed mechanical problems the 05s had. Toyotas are usually very reliable, but Scions haven't been up to their standards. The other choice would be Volkswagen New GTI. That car is sexy.

I would get a loaded Pontiac G6 - probably a silver one or a black one. Moonroof and all. And just to note to you, we are almost into 07 model year now!
