Yes I did. Our pastor's doing a series on the Prodigal son, but this week he was emphasizing the fact that the older brother was as lost as the prodigal one. He was lost in hardness of heart & his own self-righteousness ... as all Christians can be at times. Very helpful as a check on my own heart & behavior.

Yes I did get to church yesterday. I had really missed it. We hadn't been able to go in so long because of health problems. The Pastor spoke on 1st Chrointhinas 15 and how the dead are raised in the end. About how our soul goes to be with the Lord when we die and then in the resurection (if the dead) our bodies will be raised.
And creating a new body (for those that died in 9/11 or place crashes ect) is no problem for a God that can create an entire world in a week.
Yes it was very intersting. It really made me think. It helped me a great deal as I had been thinking on it alot lately.

Yes. Sermon was about living the Christian life. Can't remember the Gospel though. Sermons don't help as much in our church. The participation in the body and blood is something I definitely remember and absolutely helped yesterday and today.

I absolutely did. Unless I am sick, I go to church every time the doors are open. I was born and raised in a country, Baptist Church. I plan on, Lord willin', attending church 'til the day I die. I can't live a day without Christ, and going to church, hearing the sermons, singing the songs, helps me in my day to day life. Yesterday the message came from Luke 15:11-20. talking about the prodigal son. It was a great message, and YES it helped me. They all do! I hope you attended church, too!

The pastor's sermon was about Us,as Christians going through problems that we can't see the end of, things happening to us that we wouldn't expect in our wildest dreams, he taught that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if the tunnel seems long and far off, Amen! I felt like he was talking to me.(going through infertility right now) what a relief!

Yes, I go to church every Sunday. The sermon was about Simon the Sorcerer, in Acts chapter 8, and what we can learn from his story. It certainly helped me to understand more about the Bible. You all can read or listen to the sermon here: http://www.franklinchurchofchrist.com/sermons/date/2006/htm/20060709AM.htm

No. Because I no longer believe in organized religion. It is run by fallible human beings. The only good sermons I hear anymore are on TV on the WORD channel.

Yes... it was about not taking the Lord's name in vain. Pretty good sermon. You can check it out at eaglebrookchurch.com .
Also the series is about the ten commandments. Pretty good series as it talks about that obeying the ten commandments are not the guidelines to get into heaven, but they are to help make your life more fruitful. If you've accepted Jesus, you are already chosen by God to go to heaven.

I sure did go to church yesterday. The sermon was about using the courage that God gives us.
It did help, actually.
