The American government never will attempt "regime change" in Saudi Arabia. Part of the reason Americans have been involved in the Gulf for decades is because of a post WW II agreement made with the Saudi's to protect them in exchange for equal access to oil fields for American companies. This pact was started by Roosevelt and has continued since then with it being strengthend through the years with the establishment of the Carter Doctrine and the current Bush Doctrine.

Although there appears to be a direct correlation between Democracy and freedom it is not necessarily so. The Palestinians in Gaza recently had democratic elections and voted in a terrorist group. It is highly likely that religious extremist groups will be elected into Afghanistan and Iraq. Currently the Monarchy in Saudi Arabia is at least partially keeping the religious extremists in check. I believe there is a strong chance they would be elected if there were democratic elections. Ultimately leading to a theocracy.

Someone should, but Bush and the Saudi royal family are best buddies. . .even though 90% of the plane hijackers on 9/11 were Saudi nationals.

Bush should take a rest damit. If the country wants freedom, let it do it itself. Whot he hell gives him rights to go invading countries like that. He needs to sit down on a sofa and put his ballz in a bucket of cold ice and chill.

How many more soldiers and innocent civilians do you think he can get killed in the process?
Do you think it will solve a problem?
Is autocratic government evil?
Do you think they spy on their own people?
Do you think they ignore the Geneva conventions?
Have they shot anyone in the face while hunting?

Ohh yeah, that would be a good idea.
Destroy another middle-eastern state and turn it into a hot bed of terrorism, just like Afghanistan and Iraq.

We could try, whether or not they would accept this way of life would be up to them. I would be surprised if they did accept it, as this is not how they've ever lived. People can change, but it takes alot of effort, and they have to want to do it. It can be offered.
