My understanding is that by 2010 Toyota will be offering a hybrid option for all of its cars sold in the US.

I'm pretty sure they are already available in Japan.

I think that it is highly unlikely that Toyota will bring their deisel engines to the United States.

They have allready made deisel engines for plenty of their models including a number of models not brought to the US

Hybrid truck? Probably not.
I dont think Toyota is interested in making their pick-up trucks with hybrid engine
If anything the 2WD Tacoma might be offered with a hybrid engine

Right now they are more devoted to bringing their
Sub-Compact models to the US for the next two years.

The thing is that all car manufactures have Diesel engines available for all their vehicles. They just don't sell them in the states.
