In your part of the country Baltimore Orioles are moderatly common.

They are a primarily an insect eating bird. So commercial bird seed wont really attract them.

They will eat berries as well as some food we throw on the ground.

To attract them to your yard at times can be a feat but well worth the effort.

The best way is to put up a nest box for them.

According to BIRDWATCH magazine, they prefer an L shaped nest box securly hidden facing the South East, They generally like the nest 7 feet off the ground against a tree or wall, like the side of your house.

My grandma said that Orioles like "orange" flavored stuff.You can buy a Oriole bird feeder kind of like a hummingbird feeder but you put a orange flavored liquid in it.

try a hummingbird feeder
or put out fresh cut oranges - thread them through a dowel to make a perch
or
grape jelly
or raisins

or plant nectar-producing plants like Flowers with tubular red corollas are especially attractive to hummingbirds. Other trees, shrubs, vines and flowers can also provide nectar for hummingbirds.

they make orieol feeders and the food to put in them, ive seen them at walmart, they like orange halves stuck to trees.
