Absolutely! The second molar, commonly referred to as a "12 year" molar usually falls out between the ages of 11-13 although a little earlier or later is generally fine. I bet it did not have any roots either! Root resorption (no roots) occurs as the new permanent tooth pushes its way out through your gums. You may see that the area where the tooth fell out is swollen, red or even feels a little uncomfortable. You could also see something white in the area where the roots should have been. All of these are signs of a new tooth coming in. You should loose four of these same teeth, one from each: upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. It depends upon when you got your teeth as a baby. Late teethers usually loose their teeth later than those who were early teethers.

Yes because there is a molar that is often referred to as the "13-year-molar" because it comes out around that age. If another tooth doesn't start coming in sometime soon mention it to your dentist. Some people keep baby teeth well into their adult years. My grandfather died at the age of 63. He still had 3 baby teeth!

Its normal. exfoliation n eruption occur at different age for different pple. there is a rough gauge for each tooth but it varies in pple. as dr teeth had mentioned, the tooth which came out would not hve any roots due to root resorption as the permanent tooth pushes on it. vry soon the permanent tooth would erupt n take the place of the baby tooth.
