The wedding is this saturday and is in a church. I do not want to be to dressy and not to down dressed also.
I will like any suggestions for an attire that is suitable for both the wedding and reception.

(Take in account that I am a young black female)

I forgot one thing to add, but I don't know if it makes a difference, my guy cousin is the groom. ( I just wanted to add that...because this is not someone that I don't know).

I'm not sure what you would consider dressy but I would say either a dress or a top/skirt combo would work great. Since it is in a church, you don't have to worry about wind/walking on grass/etc. Personally I still don't feel comfortable wearing black to weddings, because it seems too somber, but nowadays people wear all kind of colors to a wedding, black, navy, all the way to pastels. I wouldn't wear white or ivory though. If you really want to go with pants, I would wear slacks with a feminine top. Good luck finding something!

Most kinds of summer dresses are appropriate, except a plain white dress. The tradition is you don't want to take focus away from the bride. A nice floral print, or patterned dress. Short sleeve or sleeveless. Not a "Tube" top or anything too sexy. But comfortable. You can wear dressy sandals (not flip flops) If it's an ultra casual affair(on the beach for example) go with the flow. If it's a formal affair, dress it up to a more classy/formal dress with heels. Have fun.

What you wear depends on when the wedding is (daytime or evening) and how formal the wedding is, along with location (inside or outside) and what you're comfortable in. I'm assuming it's not a formal wedding; it's probably semiformal. If the wedding's during the day, you should wear either a skirt and top or a cocktail dress. Go for light or bright colors - not black, not white. If it's at night, wear a cocktail dress in whatever color you want (except white - you shouldn't wear white to a wedding, it's the bride's color). Good luck!

I'm the same age, and I've have typically worn nice strapless but not low cut dresses to summer weddings. I never get anything above the knee either, that wouldn't really be appropriate. I always top it off w/a nice shrug or cardigan (depending on how warm it is). JcPenney's always has a nice selection of dresses and they are fairly inexpensive:)

You are part of the family, so its important to wear formal, something elegant so do not wear pants. Do not wear black, white, red or the color that they using for decoration. Its summer so you can wear a bright color. A nice dress is the best (not too short). Try davidsbridal.com at 'bridal party' link.

Anything is game except white dress... and flip-flops/thongs as shoes. I had a girl come to my summer wedding wearing thong wedge slippers. I must say, that was tacky!

Knee-length summery skirt and a nice plain short-sleeved shirt with some white heels. Skip the nylons.
