Canton, Ohio is a good example for this argument. One in three girls at Canton's high school become pregnant before their senior year. The school has a Abstinence only sex ed program. The school board recently turned down a proposal to change the sex ed program with a 9-0 against. They said they didn't see a problem.

Girls interviewed said that they did not intend to become pregnant but that they had listened to myths such as: You can't become pregnant when you have your period; you can't become pregnant in a swimming pool...and so forth.

I think that it should be well rounded and that myths should most definitely be pointed out as false.

Dumbest sex rumor ever spreed around my school: "You can not get pregnant if your on top."

The truth is....sex education is one thing....sexual morality and discipline is another. We can educated kids and teens about sex but if they are not morally disciplined, they'll just abuse that knowledge. Teach them about sex and make them understand that this is a serious matter which should be given a lot of thought before they actually engage in it. Don't beat them up over it, just tell them straight about the do's and don'ts and what to expect if they choose to do it at the improper time.

Hell yes to well rounded. If they are old enough to think about doing it, they have every right to be educated about it. It is our responsibility to provide them with the information needed to make educated choices.

I believe in comprehensive sex education. We owe it to younger generations all of the knowledge we have for them to make informed decisions.

Definitely well rounded. If you purposely hide stuff from kids they'll then purposely seek it out and rebel, so why not put it all out there, teach the kids to be safe, and trust they'll be mature enough to make smart decisions.

Knowledge is like money; it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. We all hope that our children will never be in a burning building, but we teach them more about fire safety than "The only way to be safe is never be in a burning building" don't we? All children should learn sex safety, just like they learn fire safety, traffice safety, food safety, etc.
