Ok I still don't even know the answer but a friend told me you are able to find it on the internet. He wouldn't tell, he said I had to find out for myself. Here it goes......Ok there are three words in the entire English language that end with the letters "GRY" The first is ANGRY and the second is HUNGRY, what is the third word??????? Research and answer......please only serious answers!!!!

The answer is "language". It is a trick question. It states: there are only three words in the English language. Get it? The English Language. So language is the third word.

What the heck did you do Aqua21092? Edit your answer after I posted mine and then copied it word for word? Geez...at least, vary it so it's not so obvious!

And Interloafer...lethargy and clergy end in --rgy not --gry.

Language doesn't make sense.
First of all, it says " . . . the entire English language . . ." which has 4 words.
Secondly, you can't just break a sentence up like that and say, it was saying "there are only three words in the entire English language. That end with the letters . . ." That doesn't make any sense either.


If someone will rewrite this so that you can break the sentence into "There are only three words in the English language." and then finishes, then yes, I will say "language" is the answer to that riddle (not to the one that has been posed). But I don't think you can do that without a major overhaul of the sentence that was presented.

I heard this so many times before. Dont worry it confused me too!The answer is language. Its a trick question. Ok ill tweak it a little bit so it makes more sense: There are three words "The English Language" what is the third word? and the third word i "The English Language" is language.

it is a trick question because the original question/ riddle is unknown .librarians and scholars don't know where the question started. modern english words ending with -gry are lethargy, clergy etc. think about it!!
