Many people say "hi" to me, even the people I like but that doesn't mean that "I like you"!!! If the person hangs around you or stalks you then the person likes you or you hear from their friends but I'm totally sure "hi" does not translate to "I like you". It is only out of politeness and to recognize the people.

Not really, it could mean they're just being polite.....it could mean many things depending on the person, the only way to know is by asking the person directly........Everyone is different and everyone does things for different reasons....A guy could say hi to you because he likes you and another guy could say hi to you, and it means he's just being polite....you see where I'm going?? It just depends on the person and the situation....
