The thief on the cross did that very thing. (Luke 23:42-43)
The thing is, you do not know when you are going to die. And it is not "religion" that gets you into heaven, it is faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work (paying the penalty for your sins), trusting in that, and not how good you are.
Many people think that you can live like hell most of your life and then get in. The problem with that thinking is this: By that time, you may have hardened your heart to a point of no return. You may not be able to open yourself to the Gospel later.
I have seen so many at the end of their lives wishing that they could, but for whatever reason, could not take that last step of faith, and died in their sins. It is a sad thing.
Please don't hope for the best later on. Choose life. Choose the One who died so that you could live. Don't wait!

I'm assuming that you mean being a horrible person? We all sin, but I'm thinking you're thinking of a really mean person. How can he have faith in Jesus and be this way? He can't. It is against God's character and anyone who has God has love to give, not to harm.
I've heard stories of people killing, and then right before they die they become a christian. Only God is the one who sees the heart. If anyone truly repents He sees the heart and forgives, if the person is just mouthing the words, God also can see this too. So I guess it's up to the Father in the end to know if a person is sincere or not..

According to evangelical Christians, he will. Religion has to do with a lifetime of experience. Jewish survivors of the Holocaust have such a problem with this question when applied to Adolph Hitler. Death bed confessions are highly suspicious.
Where is Heaven? This is not the teaching of all religions.
A person who leads, intentionally, an evil life would not go very far in Buddhism, Jainism or Hinduism.
Even Christianity teaches "that by their fruits, they shall be known." Whether he makes it or not, has to do with your theological position.

There is no way to answer this question. However, depending on the religion of the person answering, the answers will vary. Christians of the various religions like to pick the parts of the bible that are most convenient to them or best supports their chosen cause. This is why I say, 'If you ask 5 Christians the same question, you will get 5 different answers.'
Baptists and Protestants, I believe, would say no. They pretty much believe everyone is going to burn unless you live as perfect a life as possible completely devoid of fun.
Methodists and Catholics would say yes as theirs is a 'repent at your convenience' version of Christianity.

Heaven is more of a concept than a place. Heaven just means closeness with God. And we can all experience that, and right here on earth! And you don't have to ask Jesus for "forgiveness of your sins". Because sins don't exist in God's eyes.
At least that's my two cents.

Well, to be honest, even though you are probably not looking for a biblical answer, he can go to heaven. It depends on his sincerity and whether or not he has truly repented. Repentance simply means to have a feeling of guilt. If he has a feeling of guilt for his sin and he asks Christ to forgive him, then yes, he will go to heaven. The Bible says that the thief on the cross who was getting ready to die asked Christ to remember him when he came into his kingdom. Christ said, "today you will be with me in paradise."

I suppose if he really and truly means it then maybe. But simply confessing sins is not true repentence. but simply having faith in Christ is not enough. You have to do your best to live a Christ like life. True repentance takes time, you have to be truly sorry, vow to do your utmost best to never do that sin again, and then live the best you can. obviously no one is perfect, but you have to try your best. You can't jsut, in your dying breath say you believe in Jesus, and be saved just like that.

If he is totally sincere, yes. The point is no one is guaranteed tomorrow, and threes so much more to be a Christian than just going to heaven.

If just before he dies he sincerely asks God to forgive him and accepts Christ as his savior, yes he will. The point is no one knows when his time is up.
