I tried to read that crap about the earth being created only 6000 years ago, about only 1000 years before the bible was WRITTEN???? Ancient civilizations are that old! how can that make any sense to any of you that the dinosaurs, Egyptians, Incas, the Greeks, Adam and Eve were all roaming around in different parts of the earth, and in only a few thousand years we all spread out that vastly which gave us our distinct physical differences. It makes absolutely NO sense. I am sorry to say this, but anyone who actually swallows that crap or tries to perpetrate these lies is really just, well, dumb.

The Genesis Account and Dinosaurs

While the radioactive dating method is innovative, it is still based on speculation and assumption. In contrast, the Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.

Some dinosaurs (and pterosaurs) may indeed have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures” and “great sea monsters.” Perhaps other types of dinosaurs were created in the sixth epoch. The vast array of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that evidently existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24.

When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by Jehovah for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Thus, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it harmonizes with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.

When Did They Live?

Dinosaurs played a dominant role in life on earth during their age. But then they came to an end. The rock layers containing human fossils consistently occur above those layers containing dinosaur fossils. Because of this, scientists generally conclude that humans came on the earthly scene later.

In this regard the book Palaeontology, by James Scott, states: “Even the earliest species of Homo sapiens (man) lived long after the disappearance of the dinosaurs . . . After tilting (through earth movement) has been allowed for, rocks containing fossil men consistently occur above those preserving the bones of the great dinosaur reptiles and it follows that the latter belong to an earlier age than the human remains.”

No, I would assume they appear out of date because of the Flood. That much pressure, not to mention the turbulent deep sea currents and the extreme cold would probably have distorted anything upon the surface of the Earth. Thus creating the world we have today.

Odds are the world before the Flood and after was a very different place. Like the fact that people assume the Garden of Eden was somewhere in the vacinity of the modern Tigris and Euphrates. If the flood occurred, why should we assume two random rivers named to day are the same rivers before the flood.

Wow quite a few interesting answers on this. If you really dont belive that dinosaurs were around hundreds of millions of years ago, then you need to go back to school. This isnt guess work, this is established fact. There have been several points of time where most all life was destroyed on earth, leaving the way for the next species to rise.

Religions can really help people gain some kind of peace in their lives, but to have that at the expense of reality is just beyond my understanding.

Adam was the first man on Earth. God placed him there.
(read Genesis chapter in the Bible, it is unmistakably clear).
Therefore my theory is that all those fossle bones were secreted in the landscape as a gigantic practical joke. (perpetrated by many people on numerous occasions). Sadly, the hoax worked only too well. It has fooled numerous geologists for almost 200 years. No the fossils were not there in Adam's time.
Good question.

YES, read ECCLESIASTES chapter one. The BIBLE dosen't say Adam and Eve were the FIRST Human Being's on the EARTH, now does it??? I read a story where they were quarrying Granite, the block slipped out of the sling, broke in half. Inside was something that looked like a Spark-Plug, probably for an Automobile. Up to you whether you Believe it or not. Ditto.....

Who says when the dinosaurs were around? I wouldn't believe carbon dating if I were you. My friend's husband was a science major and they found out that if you bury a freshly dead cat for 3 months and then dig it up and perform a carbon dating test on it, it would show that the cat is 3,000 years old. As a math major, that doesn't make too much sense.

Welcome to , the web site of the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas.

As you browse our pages you will receive educational information presenting scientific evidence for creation and design by a personal Creator. This scientifically chartered museum was established in July of 1984 for the purpose of research, excavation, and display of scientific evidence for creation. The Museum's team, led by its Founder and Director, Carl Baugh, Ph.D., has excavated eleven dinosaurs (Acrocanthosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, etc.), 475 dinosaur tracks, 86 human footprints, 7 cat prints, and other fossil remains - all in Cretaceous limestone. Excavations were professionally documented along the Paluxy River and various other international locations.

Among museums this entity makes a unique contribution, demonstrating that man and dinosaur lived contemporaneously.Q: Are dinosaurs found in the Bible?

A: Yes

For a biblical study on dinosaurs in the Old Testament, I would definitely recommend using the Authorized Version (AV)/King James Version (KJV) of the Scriptures which were translated into English from the Masoretic text in 1611 [230 years before the word "dinosaur" was available!]. Using a Strong's Concordance, you will find the Hebrew word "tannin" is used 25 times, and is translated as 'dragon(s),''serpent(s),' 'monster(s)' [and, in the more modern versions, improperly as 'jackal(s)']. The key to remember is to look for Hebrew Lexicon #8577.

CREATION WEEK (~4000 B.C.)

DAY 5--[Gen.1:20-21]--Creation of marine monsters (Hebrew "tannin," includes large marine 'mammals' and 'reptiles') and winged/flying creatures (Hebrew "o(w)ph," includes all feathered and non-feathered flyers--even pterosaurs, the flying reptiles!)

DAY 6--[Gen.1:24-25]--Making of dinosaurs and other land creatures, divided among the cattle (Hebrew "behemah," includes all quadrupedal, hoofed/blunt-toed ungulates), beasts of the earth (bipedal/quadrupedal, talon-toed), and creeping things (quadrupedal/multi-legged ground crawlers).

FLOOD YEAR (~2350 B.C.)

[Gen.6:17,19-20; 7:14-15; 9:17,19]--Juvenile representatives of every terrestrial, air-breathing kind (not species), including dinosaurs and pterosaurs, were directed by God to the Ark.

Those outside the Ark would be left to be scavenged by marine predators or be buried and fossilized quickly.

POST-FLOOD PERIOD

MARINE MONSTERS--[Leviathan (Job 3:8-'mourning'; 41:1-34/Ps.74:14;104:26/ Isa.27:1); see also Lam.4:3 & Amos 9:3].

PTEROSAURS--[esp. the bioluminescent flying reptiles (Isa.14:29 & 30:6)].

DINOSAURS--[see Strong's Concordance(KJV) under "dragon(s);" also Exod. 7:9-10 (#8577, not #5175)].

The best dinosaur passage in the Bible is Job 40:15-24 where God speaks to Job concerning BEHEMOTH ["most excellent beasts"--intensive plural of

Day 6 'cattle' ("behemah")], a huge sauropod dinosaur (especially notice verses 17 &19 !!!). Don't forget to ckeck our website for dinosaur publications under "Resources" and...happy dinosaur hunting!

In the book of Jobabah, there is a story of Adam as a young boy collecting fossils. So yes, I guess they were already there.

Well, technically, yes. However Adam & Eve were fictitious creatures used by the author to explain eternal truths.

Adam is fictional. Dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago and more.
