A normal healthy diet is all you need to grow healthy hair.

A diet won't keep your hair health though, because diet has no effect on hair after it has grown and left the follicle. To keep your hair healthy don't wash your hair every day, wet hair is more easily damaged(also don't comb or brush wet hair if you can avoid it). Use a moisturizing shampoo and intensive conditioner. The heat and dryness from blow drying your hair can cause damage. Don't die or perm your hair or use styling products that contain alcohol. Curling irons, straighteners and other heated styling utensils are not good for your hair so don't use them or use them only occasionally.

Try searching Google for long hair care sites, they'll tell you how to take care of the hair you've already got... food and vitamins will make sure to get the hair that's growing in to be healthy and shiny. Prenatal vitamins DO help a lot, there are some available over the counter in most places. Don't know about diet much, but what most people have been saying here sounds reasonable.

I don't think there's anything you an eat to change whether it's straight or not, not sure what you meant with that last thing.

Hair is mostly Keratin-Protein so to have healthy shiny hair eat Complete Protein-has all the Amino Acids examples are baked chicken, baked turkey doesn't take that much 1 average size drumstick(chicken) or 1 thigh(chicken ) per day will do it.Turkey-3-4 slices(get 1/2lb from deli counter at a time then just take 3-4 slices and roll together and eat-simple. You also need B-Vitamins so take 1Multivitamin -Mineral Supplement 1xday with a meal preferably breakfast-you do eat breakfast right, can be as simple as glass of juice and a bagel but NEED Breakfast. Also take 1 teaspoon Flax oil or capsule-has Omega 3 great for hair and skin. To keep your hair straight-that's in your genes and what type hair parents have. Also staying fit in general ,avoiding a lot of junk food and a lot of sugar and eating healthy for if you're healthy then your hair will look good.

Try using mayonaise once a month. Takes alot to wash out, but it will help to keep it shiny and healthy.

Also, dont wash your hair every day. Sounds gross, but if you only wash it every other day or less, it will get healthier that way too.

Cut your hair about once a month, a little trim is all it takes. I do this and my hair has grown from pixie cut length to the middle of the back in about 2 years, and it looks great.

=)

some great options you could try are avocados, nuts, olives, fish, or dark leafy greens. and for salads and cooking try olive oil. at least for me, these are a few of the foods that help keep my skin and hair healthy and shiny. they can be fattening for stick to serving sizes if you worry about that sort of thing. this may sound silly, but if you want a pretty complexion and healthy hair think Greek! a Mediterranean diet really can work wonders.!!!

I wash my hair with organic Essence straightening shampoo (it quite has helped lots). Then, before I straighten and blow dry, i exploit Sunsilk straightening cream. It protects my hair from warmth damage and keeps my hair instantly. both products quite help, and so that they both make products for anti-frizz. good success!
