He's 2 years old and ever since we got him at 6 weeks he's never liked you touching his paws. He doesn't clean himself, like I've seen other dogs do but he's obsessive about licking his paws as I've seen - and heard! - him licking away at them for about 45 minutes total a day. If I touch them, like "hold his hand" he pulls away or licks my hand because he knows I don't like it to make me let go. With most people he'll nip or mouth their hand until they let go. Is this normal? Has anyone had any experience like it?

I check them often, they're not hurt, he's not wincing he's being kinda selfish like he'd act if I wanted to share his toy. He'll let me touch them but I think he'd just prefer it if I didn't lol sounds so weird

This is irrelevant but I don't care because I must say this.
In response to your statement
"Between your screen name and your question you've made yourself look like an idiot. You clearly don't love your skin colour. Do black women a favour and bleach yourself beyond recognition so we don't have to claim you as one of our own. Seriously, why must you play to the racists and bigots out there with this type of stupid question and attitude, you just give them more ammunition. If you're not appealing to other markets, then you're not supposed to be modelling in them, if you really want their acceptance and business, work harder."
Excuse me! Maybe you should learn how to spell! “colour … favour” I’d rather you think I was an idiot than spell like one. You know what regardless of if I do change my skin color I wouldn’t want you black women to “claim me” anyways! I do not give “racists and bigots more ammunition”! You know who does, sluts! There are plenty of nasty little bitches out there that are black! And love their “colour” as you so put it. Those bitches give racists and bigots ammunition my friend not me! I’m about something and am going place, I’m not about to be a pregnant teen on welfare! And look if I want to ask a question I will regardless if you think it’s stupid or not! Oh so my questions dumb how bout this one, “Can ur dog eat "toxic" foods?”
Oh yeah modeling is spelled with only one l.
And you should take your dog to the veterinarian.

Its absolutely normal for a dog to resent having his paws and tail handled. Your dog is more patient with you than strangers.
But how would you like it if your mate kept telling everyone "look how much he hates it if you hold his nose?" and everyone kept doing that to you?
Handle your dogs paws when you need to, otherwise show him some respect and leave them alone.
The licking is a different matter. Either its become a nervous or stress habit, or his dog food disagrees with him and makes his toes tingly, or you are washing the floor with something that he doesn't like on his feet. Look into that one and try to figure out what the problem is. If there are any bald patches on his toes he needs to see a vet.
To start with, take away his chews; when you notice him licking his feet beyond normal hygiene make a big deal of giving him a chew stick or a raw carrot. Distract him if you can. If he drops the chew to go back to his feet, somethings up.

My dog somewhat does this, too. Our vet said that if you don't touch their paws a lot when they are puppies, they don't feel comfortable touching their paws when they are adults. Another thing is, is if we take him on a long walk or run on a hard surface like concrete, he gets blisters on his paws. Those blisters then pop and make his paws sore. So if you go on runs with your dog and such, you may want to back down from that. Your dog may also just have weak paws, or something. You could try wrapping his paws or something. If the problems starts to get very bad, take him to the vet.
Hope I helped!

My last dog was exatly the same! I took him to the vet as I was really worried and he just smiled and said that not all people like having their ears kissed! Think the point he was trying to make is that all dogs, like people, are different and so long as he is not in any pain or becoming distressed then it is nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on his claws. My dog used to let me cut them but he didn't like it! If its a problem ask the vet to cut them when he is there for his booster. Hope this helps!

It may be that his feet are just really sensitive. People don't like it when they are tickled...neither do dogs. Paws are a common part of an animal to be sensitive in that respect. Sometimes touching the ribs will illicit the same response. Don't worry about it. Nothing is wrong with him. He is just ticklish.

Put some natural bitter product on his paws to deter him from licking excessively. These products are sold at PetSmart, etc. Also, keep touching his paws as you rub his belly -- they need to get use to it so that you can cut the nails.

wtf!! is killa barbie on about, is she even talking to the right person? this guy is askiing a perfectly legit question and gettin abuse for it, thats not on.
anyways back to the question, you dog could be licking his paws because he has some skin irritation deep within his paws and/or possibly an infection you could try bathing his paws in salt water or try a dilute solution of dettol and water to disinfect them also its worth getting some natural bitter stuff to put on his paws to deter him for licking them further see how you go with this.
as for him not liking his paws touched, he could be extremely tickelish or just one of those dogs who are neurotic about having them touched, think about it some humans dont like anyone touching their feet - you dog could have the same problem. My labrador goes absolutely bonkers if i touch the bottom of his paws. hope this helps.
