If Allah is forgiving and merciful, why does he also tell to kill non-Islamic believers? I know my God is loving and tells us to love even our enemies.

64:14 O ye who believe! Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

This is true. When wife and children become distraction than they are the enemy of a person who has developed so much love for their wife and children that he forgets the God.

As such one shouldnt just read a verse in English and decide its meaning oneself.

While i havnt done any research, the Quran may be alluding to the fact that often times wives (or husbands) and children can be following the path of sin and therefore could be bad for your faith.

I'm not a Muslim, but I do know a bit about it. The Koran in true form (Arabic, I know, I speak Arabic) does not use the word(s) O, Ye, and "Lo". The Arabic language is a very intracate language, therefore it does not use such words.

It just means to keep them in check, so that they don't do bad things. It doesn't say to kill them, but it does say 2 forgive them. Or maybe It's saying what Allah said to Nuh (Noah), cuz his son didn't believe in what Nuh said.

WHY YOU ALWAYS TAKE THINGS OUT OF CONTEXT AND TRY TO PROOF SOMETHING. ALL YOU ARE DOING IS SHOWING HOW MUCH YOU HATE ISLAM. I CHALLENGE YOU TO READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE YOU DO DUMB STUFF.
