Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life," and since any other way leads to perdition, the evangilicals, including me, think that it is our duty to point other people to the only Way. It's like this : we are seeing blind people walking on a road that leads to a cliff and certain spiritual death, that is why we have to tell them to quit this road and point them to the only Way which is Jesus. But we must do this in love and meekness, not with arrogance. Sometimes, when we tell the gospel of salvation to our friends, some of them won't have nothing to do with us anymore. But we have to do this so that when the time of reckoning comes, they cant say to us "why didn't you tell me?"

Because you reject the Word of God, they are not correct, when they tell you you are going to Hell?
You are ridiculous to state that they are Greeks and Romans in the Christian area, Crusaders, the Inquisition, slave traders, etc.
These persons are only concerned about your immortal soul and do not want to see you end up in Hell, which will be bottomless when eternity starts, and will be seething with fire and brimstone.
Do you know how long eternal is?
In case you do not know, it is:
ALWAYS.

seems the Holy Bible many people use as a reference to on here is really not so much the word of god but rather King James interpretation of it. If people want to use the Bible as a moral guide that is fine but they should not pick and choose whatever passages that benefit them. For example if you are going to condemn homosexuality thats fine, but then its ok for me to sell my daughter into slavery...why because the bible says so. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

The Holy Bible is the word of God and it tells us how to live our lives to bring glory to God. Evangelists that act in the name of Jesus Christ and with the Holy Spirit are trying to show you a path of salvation from the wrath of God.
It might appear to you to be arrogance, but it should be entirely non-arrogant - it is about saving you so as to bring glory to God and His kingdom - it has nothing to do with promoting the person doing the evangelism. Some who call themselves evangelists do promote themselves, which highlights how everyone is susceptible to sin. I suggest that he receive prayer and that you find Jesus Christ elsewhere.

you left out one group from pre-Christian times-israel...they fought war after war to show that they served the 'one true God'...here is what Christians believe-the words of the Messiah:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life-no one comes to the Father except through Me"
John 14:6
it's really no more complicated than that.
