There are actually 4 main branches of Christianity - Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox, Protestantism and Non-denominational. There are individuals amoungst all these groups that have resentment for each other. Remember all of these Churches grew out of splits to the original Church instigated by Christ and developed by the Apostles. Both the Catholic and Orthodox churches claim to be the original, true Church. Protestant Churches claim they are more scriptually based and therefore correct, and the Non-denominational Churches claim to be Christian only and are not concerned with differentiations - which goes against what Christ wanted - and so are correct. This is why members of any of these Churches may have resentment for one another - they believe they have the exclusive truth.
Personally (I am a Protestant), I believe we should be tolerant of these differences and just call ourselves Christians (followers of Christ). God created diversity and people are different. I would question Christians who have resentment for other Christians. It doesn't sound like a fruit of the spirit.
A Christian is a Christian because they deny themselves and follow Christ - not because of the Church they attend (and/or the rituals they perform!).
So the question is really why do some people resent other people? In this case because people have a difference of opinion (and it is such a passionate subject for Christians, which can lead to resentment)

Dude Jesus only founded one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church not 10,000. I think you also need to get that the Catholic church was not founded in 325 AD like people try to say. Peter's church was founded in 33 AD by Jesus dying on the cross and resurrecting. In 98 AD the bishop of Antinoch Ignatius dubbed Peter's church with the title Katholike.

I assume you mean catholics. They probably do not like people saying the leadership of the catholic church is evil, and has an evil track record.

B/c Catholics think they are the true church, not recognizing the true church is not an organization or building, but true believers.
