You want to send a valuble object to a friend. You have a box which is more than large enough to contain the object. You have several locks with keys. The box has a locking ring which is more than large enough to have a lock attached. But your friend does not have the key to any lock you have. How Do you do it?

send the key with the box and send the whole package ups or fed ex, something that will allow you track it

This is a classic brainteaser.

The answers posted are incorrect because they are still not secure. Instead what you do is you send the box empty with one of your locks on it.

Your friend gets the box and attaches her OWN lock to it and sends it back.

Then you remove your lock and send the box back. She can then open the box.

Use a combination lock. No keys are required.
