If you think the Bible is anything like a fairy tale, then it's because you haven't read it! Or maybe, you haven't read enough fairy tales! (do you read at all?).
No seriously, C.S. Lewis said, " Those who equate the New Testament with mythology have not studied enough myth."

In a secular sense, the Bible is a well-authenticated history book.
To people of faith, it is the word of God... Jesus (Yahshua, his real name) made references to the scriptures and added that the important thing is .....it is a testimony of Him!
Many atheists change their tune when faced with death...or birth.
Remember, God will always forgive.

And why is that? Any good reason? The answer is No because the only reason to "wake up" is so that you can feel good and secure knowing that if you are wrong you are gonna bring as many people down with you as possible. Athiests might ruin the fairy tale but religious people pervert it into something monstrous..hence both sides are wrong.

I'm an atheist too. But I don't want to ruin anybodies party, or interfere in anyones spiritual exploration.
I do draw the line when Christians try to use religion to influence public policy though. And I won't stand by and allow them to spew anti science BS either.

Growing up is a slow process involving a certain amount of foolish behavior.

I wonder if the human race will survive The Awkward Stage, or The Terrible Twos, or whichever phase we're currently in.

I don't understand this bruhaha over religion. There's a big difference between religion and spirituality. Religion is an organized institution. Spirituality is faith, a belief in someone or something. Heck, even Satanists believe in Satan and surely, Atheist believe in something? It doesn't matter what you believe in as long as you are a better person in your belief. So what's the fuzz all about?

Well, by the very definition of atheist.. you CANNOT exist.
ATHEIST = one who claims, "there is no God." To know for sure that there is no God, you would need absolute knowledge of everything in the entire Universe to be SURE there is no God existing anywhere. And since you do not have this knowledge you must say that due to the limited knowledge I have, there is no God. And since your knowledge is limited, there is other knowledge out there you don't know about yet, and in that unknown knowledge there is the possibility of the existence of God. So you are agnostic. Did I lose you yet?

What is religion? I didn't come to argue just to say christianity will live 4-ever no matter what you may say or what you may do. Your petty little opinion does not threaten its' existence. Have a blessed day and by the way what's your question?

For one, I do not argue or try to defend the word of God because it will defend itself. Let me supply you with a very real fact: there will be no atheists in hell. God still loves you and He wants you to come home.

Ignorant perhaps but they are entitled to their beliefs. If they would actually read the bible instead of just seeing the words they might realize the god they worship is a child murdering genodical rapist.

You're supposed to ask questions here. Then you can get answers. There's no restriction about what kind of questions you can ask or what kind of answers you can give. Like this: what should I tell people about myself if I believe in God, but I don't believe in religion or afterlife or silly theories about miracles?
