I know CD players didn't exist back then but you can still install them.

If there is no possible way to get a bargain with what I asked, I want one that at least has a good engine so I can drive it.

Good Luck. What you're looking for sells for closer to 10k.

3k gets you a body with no engine and minimal rust.

you're able to desire to purchase some books on the Mustang from 1964 to 1970. The Mustang from those years does no longer have a V6, all are on the instant 6, they have V8's from 289 to 429 from 1964 to 1970. The 1967 68 Fastbacks are great and extremely commonplace and those could be a area of my determination however the 1969 and 1970 Mustang are very plenty a similar. I choose the 1970 Mustang fastback as interior the Mach1 form or Boss 302. do slightly examine in the previous you bypass dumping way too plenty money right into a vehicle, you will get an incredible one for the money you're spending yet are not getting ripped off. you're able to desire to verify how distinctive a 6 cylinder vehicle is over a V8 and do it precise the 1st time.

For $3,000.00 a Mustang of that vintage probably won't run. Either you'll get one that runs OK but looks like crap, or a passable body with a blown drive train. In either case it will be a candidate for a full restoration, not use as a daily driver.

The condition you stated will run closer to $10,000 for a later model or $15,000 - $20,000 for a 1964 1/2. A pristine one could run double that, especially in Cali.

You won't be able to put a CD player in the dash opening without a lot of surgery. That kind of work is not recommended on an early Mustang as it will kill the value of it. An under-dash installation would be a better bet but will cost you a bit for a professional job.

Better keep saving your money!

A year or so ago I bought a 69 stang for $2800. She is pretty. I got the frame (which had to be reinforced and painted), the doors, hood etc. are all in good shape. She didn't have an engine or tyranny, interior, etc. and I am happy with my purchase. It is still a good deal.

If you find the car you are requesting for the price I would guess its either someone on their deathbed, or on the way to prison. Not to be mean, but what you are asking for is RARE.

I specialize in Mustangs through the years 1964-2000. ebay may help you for your price range but you wont get one from a private seller with that price and runs and is in good condition and has a cd player.

Sorry but good luck.

Good luck on that needle in a haystack.
And you do know there were no CD players put in at the factory 40 years ago?

look in ebay, i think that a mustang at this year and price, you'll have to buy it as a project or to restore it, because like that, you'll never will have it like this at this price, if you are ready to spend at least 10000 to 40000$ maybe you'll be able to buy it
maybe its not what you will like to hear, but its truth
try even to look in ebay, may be you'll find something you'll like
good day
