I heard peanut butter can help. Is it true?

A tall stocky asian friend once told me, "peanut butter and ice cream." But this was back in the 80s. I lifted weights and added a 2000 calorie protein shake to my diet. Weightlifting adds bulk to your body without burning the amount of calories that aerobics does. I increased my calorie intake and used heavy weights so the muscles would respond quicker. A muscle that has to pick up a heavy weight regularly will grow. Eat regularly, all 3 meals plus a snack in between. Some will say 5 meals a day. Also, don't skip dinner. That's a better way to lose weight. Every "body" is different, metabolism and genes play a strong part. I had trouble gaining weight at 16-17 but I was eventually able to get from 165 to 210 lbs in a few years, and no huge gut.

Don't eat fast food. You want to gain weight, not kill your self. Eggs are pretty high, but don't eat too many at once because they can block up your system. Carbohydrates like potato are good, but make sure you still have things like vegetables to balance things out a bit.
Peanut butter will certainly help you gain weight, but also clog up your arteries with fats, that cause lots of other health problems.

The BEST solution is to go to the gym and do small repetitions of heavy weights. Have lots of protein, meat, eggs, dairy, but make sure you still have the fruit and veg otherwise you might make your self sick. As soon as you start exercising you'll find that your apetite is massively stimulated and you can eat a lot more food anyway. Have oil in your diet too, but try to only use olive oil as it's much better for you.

You may find that a protein powder will help you gain weight too. They are availably from health food stores, gyms and chemists.

You don't want to eat foods that are high in Fats to gain weight. Try a low fat high calorie diet. Calculate your daily calorie intake, then try to eat at least 500-700 calories more than that daily. Make sure you exercise so you don't become a blob!

Peanut butter is high , but those on a low carb diet use this sometimes to curb intake, and leaves them satisfy-ed. Try a milk shake with malt.
