In the 70s Kerry testified before a Congressional Committee the things he witnessed in Vietnam. These included rape, murdering innocent women and children, and mutilating bodies. These things were common and I myself witnessed some of these actions. Chickenhawk neocons have been calling Kerry disloyal and treasonous ever since. Now the same kind of things are being reported in Iraq. We even have officers encouraging troops to report wrongdoings. Will we hear more slander for the next thirty or so years against those who report or testify?

Kerry was a mother f'ing skate. That bastard was there for 4 months as an officer. Your going to sit there and tell me he saw all this? yeah right. I've seen many like him that know how to work the system. I'm not too fond of that kind of person.
If there are truly any wrong doings they'll be taken care of. Don't forget this Military is now all volunteer. Not full of guys that really didn't want to be there. Then of course I will have to sift through the press to figure out what is true and what isn't. We certainly all know what their agenda is. So it's not that I won't believe any of it, but I will be highly suspect of all stories and sources.

everything kerry has done has been political including the whole navy thing with boats trying to copy kennedy. i don't believe a damn thing he says he saw and i've got a pretty good idea how he got his purple hearts. furthermore i don't believe you. i was there and i can tell you no one i was with ever committed rape or killed innocent women and children. accidents happen in war...and civilians have been caught in firefights. if you were with people who committed rape or intentionally targetted women and children you should be locked up for not doing something about it.

P.S. I went and reread that transcript and I will have to say in fairness much of what he stated in that hearing was true in many ways. He exagerated the atrocities and I don't believe he witnessed them. There is no question that the vietnam war was very poorly handled by the govt. but despite that fact, many tried to do things the "right way". I don't believe that is the case in this war. To answer your question I don't think anyone who reports wrongdoing would be labeled a traitor. What I personally will not stomach is for someone to intentionally lie and/or exagerate facts for the explicit purpose of destroying the faith of American citizens in our troops or to destroy troop morale. And I can say without question the same radical left who used testimony of vietnam vets will attempt to do it again for that very purpose. Let me make it clear that I believe criminal wrongdoing should be dealt with harshly, and I believe it will. Those who support this war are in no way condoning anything like rape and murder.

How could Kerry see anything when all he did was float around on a boat picking up the REAL soldiers from the battle?. And how long was he there, like 2 months or something?Kerry lied about what he did over there and thats the differnce so the answer is no.

My husband was a Vietnam vet which ultimately what killed him. My son is disabled from Iraq. Not all republicans are chicken hawks. Nor are democrats! Kerry stabbed his fellow soldiers in the back. Kerry would shoot himself in the foot if it helped his cause. Oh wait a minute dah he already did! If a soldier truly commits in appropriate acts of violence it goes against the military code and yes they will be disloyal to the service!

I don't think so. If someone sees wrong doing in the military, they have an obligation to report it. It's called honor.
As for Kerry. He admitted that he was told that by the leader of the movement which had never seen it himself either. I am not saying it did not happen (I think it probably did, war is atrocious) but Kerry did not see it like he stated he did. Below is the actual transcript. When asked for evidence of the stated atrocities he could not produce them.

what's a neocon? is it a liberal term for someone who doesn't believe it is right to murder a baby with abortions but do think that murderers and rapists should be put to death?
the soldiers records will only come under scrutiny if they run for president and try to lie and convince everyone they were some big hero like kerry did.
